Throughout his entire career Dirk received several special awards for his merits in the field of music and culture

Dirk Brossé has been awarded the title Cultural Ambassador of Flanders, the Flemish Parliament’s Gold Medal for Merit, the Achille Van Acker Prize, the Joseph Plateau Honorary Award and the Global Thinkers Forum Award for Excellence in Cultural Creativity. In 2013 he was elevated to Belgium’s hereditary nobility, with the personal title of Sir. He is a member of the Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts. Since 2018 Dirk is a Fellow in Arts & Humanities at the Brussels University VUB. Recently Dirk received from His Majesty King Filip of Belgium the highest award from the Belgian Monarchy: ‘Commander in the Order of Leopold’.

Dirk Brossé inspires audiences all over the world with his key note lectures, masterclasses and workshops. He is a fixed guest professor at the New York Conducting Masterclass and a visiting professor at many conservatories and universities around the world. Dirk’s favorite topics are ‘Leadership in Music’; ‘The Art of Conducting’; the Birth of Music’; ‘The Importance of Music within our Society’ and ‘Beyond Perception’. Dirk spoke for large scale international companies like Deloitte; AT&T; Alpro; Pen Law University; Douwe Egberts; Atlas Copco; Brussels University VUB; Officials of the City of Ghent; Economy Department Flemish Government (FOD Economie); Möbius Business Redesign NV; Accenture; Belgian Executive Seminar Bordeaux; Leaders Meeting@Paris; Rotary International; Global Thinkers Forum London & Dubai.

As an internationally respected composer and conductor, the opinion of Dirk Brossé is much valued in the national and international press. 

Very often Dirk is asked to give interviews for newspapers, magazines, blogs, radio and TV. Dirk wants to enrich the public opinion with his view on music and art, the art of conducting and his role as Music Director of The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the Ghent Film Festival. Dirk Brossé is a regular Radio Klara and Canvas TV panel guest for the International Queen Elisabeth Competition, Belgium.
